- Goal - Tell ChatGPT exactly what you are looking for.
- Example: "I want a list of the best medium-length hikes within two hours of San Francisco. Each hike should provide a cool and unique adventure, and be lesser known."
- Return Format - Specify how you want the response structured.
- Example: "For each hike, return the name of the hike as I'd find it on AllTrails, then provide the starting address, ending address, distance, drive time, hike duration, and what makes it a cool and unique adventure. Return the top 3."
- Warnings - Flag potential mistakes or key details to be extra careful about.
- Example: "Be careful to make sure that the trail name is correct, that it actually exists, and that the estimated time is accurate."
- Context dump - Share background information that could improve the response.
- Example: "For context: my girlfriend and I hike a ton! We've done pretty much all the local SF hikes. We want something new, ideally with ocean views. A great food spot at the end would be a plus since we love a celebratory meal. We won’t see each other for a few weeks, so uniqueness really counts!"
