- Through the lens of meditation, every new moment is an opportunity to find peace, to better understand our own mind and that of others.
- The smallest things can make the biggest difference. Put aside some time to take care of your mind today.
- Can we work with the mind so we no longer have to follow our same old habitual patterns?
- It's easy to get blasé about being alive, caught up in thought. But being more aware reminds us of the fragile, precious nature of life.
- By being clear about what meditation is not, we create a space for what it is.
- We think angry thoughts when angry, worried thoughts when anxious, and sad thoughts when sad.
- Change is happening both within us and outside of us all of the time.
- It's natural to experience some self-pity as we oserve the mind, but if we allow it to take root, we may well get lost in the maze.
- Remember to take a moment or two each day and visualize that steady flow of liquid sunshine running through you.
- Remember the idea of the blue sky: that sense of confidence and generosity that is always there within us.
- Inner dialogue, monologues, and commentary mean we're living in an idea, not the present.
- Once you see how thinking fuels emotion, smile at it and let it go. Awarness develops soon thereafter.
- Take a load off your mind. Stop. Pause. Breathe. Feel calmer.
- Remember to take a moment or two each day and visualize that steady flow of liquid sunshine running through you.
- The only thing that remain constant is breath.
- Awareness without compassion is like sunshine without warmth.
- Being free from stress doesn't mean being emotionless. It means you aren't as overwhelmed by it.
- We can apply awareness in any situation. It's not what we are doing with the body, but how we're approaching it with the mind.
- Wich emotions do you tend to resist in your life? Recognize your resistance and try to let go.
- Take in the nature, the scenery, the space around you.
- Happiness matters.
- Awarness requires no system, strategy or belief, only the willingness to pause, revisit, and reconnect with that wich has always been.
- Betwen what is happening and what we want to happen is stress. Understanding that allows us to let it go.
- Motivation is more about the present moment than it is about the future.
- Notice how much our mental chatter revolves around that sense of "I". Once we see it, we can let go of it.
- Have courage to let the mind be free, creative, spacious.
- When we simply allow thoughts and feelings to come and go, we familiarize ourselves with a feeling of contentment.
