- I wonder if anyone has ever thought of this, but you know how many to-dos and tasks have I completed since I became conscious of what a chore, task, to-do was?
- What inspired this thought was that an inherent part of to-do lists is that you immediately operate from a deficit. You have a list of things that you have to do, so in a way you are at a 0% completion rate from the get go.
- Now, this is common sense.
- It’s just that I wonder what I would feel/think if I saw a list of all the to-dos from my whole life and saw them all crossed off.
- Everything from put the dishes away when I was 4 yrs old to write an essay about Kant in college.
- Now, link that thought to any feelings of burden and hum-drum one might feel towards their next to-do. Maybe it’s just me, but I think I would feel an enormous rush of energy to tackle a to-do list if I saw that over the course of my life I’ve completed thousands of to-do’s.
- Not that there needs to be a product or solution to this inherent part of to-do lists - I just thought I’d write down some thoughts about a very interesting and perhaps never thought-about-before aspect to productivity.
