Twos App Feedback - April 24 Edition

- This feedback is for v5.8 of the MacOS (M1 + M2) version of the app as well as v10.1 of the Android App
- 💡 Don't allow removing a bookmark by clicking the bookmark icon on the bookmarks list.
- I have, at least in the android app, continusouly clicked on the bookmark icon by mistake and get prompted to remove the bookmark when all I want to do is select the list. I think that it should be toggleable within the list its self but should either be locked or toggleable in settings to turn off the icon in the sidebar. This would offer more room to read the list name as well as lessen the frustration of bumping the icon.
- 💡 Tags should have the option to be inline where ever they are placed.
- I like the tags functionality, but I find that it takes up too much visual space being on top or bottom. I think it would be interesting to consider them being inline right where they are typed on the thing itself. That would allow me to place them at the start of a thing, or end of a thing.
- It could be a toggle for inline tags. So that existing functionality can be maintained for those that like it that way.
- I see this being useful as I create todos and want to add more context to them while keeping a clean list.
- 🐞 Small bug: Title of list stays as Loading... until collapse and reveal on Mac app.
- Something I have noticed recently is that if you create a new list in the Mac app it shows Loading... as the new list name until I hide and reveal the recent lists section.
- This also seems to apply to when the lists are renamed.
- 💡 Allow viewing of two lists simultaneously
- Within a Mac widescreen envroment, it would be nice to have two lists open at the same time so that I can easily copy things from on to the other.
- This could be for looking at public lists and taking notes or for looking at yesterdays journal and todays so that I can do bullet journaling style of transfer forwards seamlessly.
- The other way this could be accomplished is by allowing lists to be popped out of the app so that I can just position them side by side on my own screen.
- This could also be somehow incorporated into the tabs functionality so, like an app like VS Code, I can choose to split vertically to show two tabs or windows that have tabs side by side.
- 💡 Applying templates to days automatically.
- I am thinking that it would be nice to be able to create a template that is auto applied to any new daily pages that are created.
- It would require a setting where I can define what template to use and it would apply it if the list did not exist and it was being created new.
- Simple use-case is to be able to have my daily routine defined and have it auto applied each morning.
- 💡 Mac App adjustable sidebar.
- I would like, in the mac version of Twos, to be able to adjust the width of the sidebar to read names of lists easier.
- I find that I usually have more horizontal real-estate and would like to not have all the linefeed list names if I could avoid it.
- ✓ 💡 Allow the placement of public lists as sublists within your own lists.
- Update: It seems this is already possible, just was not intuitive as I might have expected. I was able to organize it into a list and it works as expected, just had to recall that was the way it functioned.
- I have seen many great lists in the public space, and would love to be able to collect them in a way that makes sense to me without recreating them.
- The ability to insert a sublist of a public list of someone else would allow my uber list, say one for interesting looking recipes or books, can be mine but can be full of lists that both I created and others did as well.
- This would allow original authors to continue to make changes as needed as it would still be their list in the end.
- 🐞 Possible Bug: Record button does nothing
- When using the Mac app, I find that using the mic button at the bottom right of lists does not actually record anything when clicked. It changes to a recording icon, but after clicking a second time it does not show any indication that anything has happened.
- This may be a bug with my setup but calling it out all the same.
- 💡 Option to not show collaborators on list view of Lists
- When viewing Recent lists or other places lists are listed it would be nice to have the option to hide the profile images or other things that take up space to maxamixe the number of lists that can be seen.
- If the theme has not presented itself I am in it for information density, or at least the ability to pack the screen when needed.
- Showing a generic icon that indicates it is shared or public that shows inline would be great so it would allow the lists to still only need one row to capture the information.
- This would be augmented by the ability to widen the sidebar and perhaps conditionally show those attributes if the sidebar is expanded (previous feature idea) wide enough.
- 💡 Comment button is hard to access
- I like the comment functionality, however when you have a thing selected in the list it does not show the heart or comment icons. I find it awkward to have to click off of the list to get those icons to show up.
- Add to this when opening a list I am unable to see the Comment or like count until I click on a thing and subsequently click off of it.
- 🐞 Add thing button not functioning in Mac app
- I was going to suggest a feature and then when I clicked the green + expecting to be able to add a new thing or be taken to my daily list I noticed nothing is happening.
- This could be related to my Mic button not working either but I will rule out a few easy ones (restart / ensure updated) before taking it further.
- Upon further testing it seems when on a list it just moves the cursor to the new thing at the end. In my opinion the green + should be able to always be a quick add button so that things are not forgot, but does not actually need to pertain to the ongoing list as I can just click where I want to insert a new thing without using the plus icon.
- 💡 Quick add things option to not be taken out of current context.
- It would be nice to be in flow writing on one list and have the ability to quick add a thing that goes to the daily list without having it move to that list upon completion.
- The idea being I am working on something that triggers a thing I don't want to forget but I do not want to be moved away from the list I am on, breaking my flow.
- 🐞 Possible Bug: When viewing a profile, the templates section shows a count but nothing shows.
- This is seen on Parker's profile, I can see the 200 some odd lists as well as the 500 some odd things but the 4 templates do not load when that tab is clicked on.
- Either those are not public and should not be counted, or if they are truly public they should show right?
- 🐞 Possible Bug: Likes on public lists keep on counting up
- As seen in this image, I was able to get the like count incremented to 10 on one of the public lists. I am presuming that is not the intended functionality as it makes sense that each account can only like once per thing.
- I was able to do this by just liking and unliking and liking again on the thing.
- Not a big deal here, but since I am calling things out might as well mention this as well.
- 💡 Allow the new tab button to be configured
- I would like to be able to change the functionality of the new tab button at the top of the mac app.
- This could be to either turn off tabs entirely or change the + icon to support creating a new list instead of going to today.
- 🐞 When making text bold, undo does not remove it
- I went to select the + sign above to bold just the character and it bolded the whole line, which may just be feature limitation. In any case after it bolded everything I wanted to undo and it started undoing my typing, not my bold.
- This makes me think the bold syntax is not being saved as text which is why it is not picking up on the default undo / ctrl-z functionality quite right.
