- My Journaling Experiment
- Many will say that journaling is a habit that can help you keep track of your goals, reduce stress and anxiety, track your progress and growth, or gain self-confidence.
- If you walked up to me and asked me about my journaling habit, I would tell you that journaling has been an effective tool that has helped me to take note of my thoughts, and process the events that have occurred in my life.
- There are many ways to get your thoughts out of your head, and the one I have been using is the Day One app.
- Day One is a great app that I have enjoyed using, but when it came up for my subscription renewal this year, I decided to not renew it. The app allows me to create entries from multiple sources, but I used it from my iPhone mainly. The laptop was not where I did my journaling, since I like to attach photos to my posts, and my phone is my main camera I found it easy to snap that picture and add it immediately to my journal, but since I can only add one photo to the journal per day without the subscription, this was not working for me.
- Due to the limitations of not having renewed my subscription, I have been looking for another app that would allow me to use it like I was able to use the full version of the Day One app.
- That app is the Twos app.
- Twos App
- I recently found out about this app through other posts I have been reading on productivity.
- At first, I was not sure about this app, but I am finding this app to be extremely versatile.
- If you asked me how to describe it, I would have to say it is an online version of a bullet journal.
- “What is a bullet journal?”, you might ask.
- A bullet journal is a place where you can keep track of multiple things. It could be a to-do list, a habit tracker, or keeping track of calendar appointments, and goals.
- This is what I am finding to be the best part of the Twos app, it can be anything that I need.
- I can make a task a calendar event, which is great for time-blocking, via two-way sync with Google Calendar.
- I can jot down a quick note, that I will always be able to reference by searching for the topic of the note.
- Every day I start with a blank slate since Twos is designed to start fresh each day.
- This is why I have started to use it as my choice for journal writing. I love the function of starting fresh each day, and since I can write little reminders throughout the day, it adds a nice touch when I look back a year from now to see what I was thinking at the time.
- Twos is a free app, and if you want to try a personal experiment with your note-taking, journaling, or whatever your needs might be, I recommend it highly.
