- Besides using uuid you can also add a second parameter in map like map((todo, index) =>{}) and use index as a key. key={i}. This way you don't have to worry about the key been the same.
- Great video, one thing to note if anyone made the same mistake, the useEffect function that saves the state to local storage must be placed below the useEffect function that retrieves the existing/previously stored state. Otherwise, you'll have the useEffect function that sets the current state set it to empty(since it hasn't retrieved the local todos) and you're saved todos won't show on refresh.
- If anyone learning this is 2022 and facing any issues related to persistency of localStorage, try removing React.StrictMode in index.js. I noticed App.js was being rendered twice. At first render the data from localStorage will load but on the second render it will empty the data from that localStorage key.
