Why is it called Twos?

- I get this question a lot, "Why is it called Twos?"
- It makes sense that it is a common question because "Twos" isn't a real word.
- Let me tell you a little story...
- Back in 2015, before I ever had the idea for Twos, I had a girlfriend named Elise. One night we were at dinner at an Italian restaurant. We were having a great time and out of nowhere, I threw up a peace sign and yelled "Twoooos!" It was spontaneous, made no sense, and we started to laugh. "What was that? And why Twos? Three is my favorite number..." From that moment on it was our inside joke, whenever we had something to celebrate we would throw up a peace sign and yell "Twoooos!"
- Fast forward a year to 2016, I was still dating Elise, but I was also working on an app without a name. It was an app to privately record anything you want to remember, but then easily share individual things with other people. It would help people remember moments about their life and connect with close friends and family over things they wrote down, but never talked about. Hopefully, it would help start conversations that wouldn't have otherwise happened.
- Since the app had two sides (private and public ), I felt Twos would be a great name for the tool. It was short, punchy, unique, and we could make the share/like button a peace sign to spread peace and positivity.
- I asked Elise if she would be okay with me using our inside joke for the name of the app and she wanted to share it with the world.
- That's why it's called Twos.
- Thanks to a good time, a spontaneous celebration, and a generous girlfriend, we're working to help spread peace, positivity, and more good things.
