Late for a Dinner with Friends

The steam lifted from the bath water hugging her body with the scent of mint and lavender. She looked at me and didn’t hide her body. I held up a towel and wrapped her in it, kissing her neck once. I leaned against the door frame and watched her turn herself into a different type of beautiful, our eyes meet in the mirror and we kiss. I didn’t tell her the time and she only asked once. Our friends understood.
